The United States Naval Criminal
Investigative Service (NCIS) is the primary law enforcement agency of the United States Department of the
Navy. It investigates activities concerning crimes against or by United States Navy and U.S. Marine Corps personnel, along with national
security, counter-intelligence, and counter-terrorism
cases, and is the successor organization to the former Naval Investigative
Service (NIS).
In the Asia and Pacific region, the
International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) is
helping police forces adapt to a wide range of contemporary law enforcement
challenges. A major focus of ICITAP's programs in the region is supporting
efforts to combat terrorism and transnational crime enterprises by building
capacity to conduct complex criminal investigations.
They
schedule the program for Helping Police Service to Increase Security Capacity
in some important area. In Indonesia, Bitung City become the recommendation area,
because its was important gate. Polices Bitung especially in Bitung Harbour Police
Station proud to receive for their coming. They got so much important practice.
“Thank to NCIS, ICITAP, and FPD, we learn something new and very helpful to
secure our area. If they make a new program in Indonesia, we’re happy to see
them in our small city” said Mr. Suleman M, Kasium Bitung Police.
